ALICE KAREN HITE

Alice Karen is a graduate from OSU with a Home Economic Education degree. She was a classroom teacher who moved into administration and retired as the director/principal of a career center.  After a forty year career, she now focuses her retirement energy on church activities.  She became a member of OPC on January 2, 1972, along with husband Gene, and is presently serving as Clerk of Session.  She feels “the congregation has a heart for ministry for the elderly as well as children and families” and feels the church “is a praying congregation with a strong desire to help all thrive.”

CAROL HITE

Carol Hite has lived in the Outville area since 1971.  She worked at Western Electric for ten years, followed by thirty-five years for J.C. Penney until retirement.  Carol was a Sunday school teacher for many years for elementary children.  She became a member of the OPC on January 2, 1972, along with husband Dwight,  and has served as a Trustee and is currently a Deacon.  Carol stated, “I like Outville because of its small town atmosphere.”

TIM LIGHTLE

Tim is one of the newest members to the OPC.  He and his wife, Melissa, joined on January 7, 2023.  His career included being a fork-lift driver and a carpenter for thirty-five years. He is retired but continues to do carpentry work on the side and has been an asset to the church with his skills. Tim is presently serving as a Trustee.  When asked what he liked best about OPC he responded by saying “conventional.”

STEVE RAUCH

Steve has been a longtime resident of Outville where he has done farming and worked thirty-four years for AT&T.  He became a member of the OPC on March 29,1959, giving him the distinction of holding the longest membership.  Steve has been a former Deacon and is currently serving as a Trustee.  He  said what he likes best about the Outville church is the “friendly people.”

DEBBIE SCHILLER

Debbie is a retired R.N. with a B.S.Degree  from the University of Louisiana.  Areas in which she has  worked include:  hospice, instructor for adult education LPN program, hospitals, doctor offices, and home health.  She became a member of the OPC on July 21, 2022 after the closing of the Homer Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and Clerk of Session.  She is currently a Deacon at OPC.  She has always enjoyed a smaller church and finds the OPC to be very caring.  "The church is on a journey and I want to be to a helpful participant on that journey."
